What A Disaster
First blog post, six years after my new website launched!
Well, here we are in the early stages of a viral pandemic. So this is what it takes to get me to finally start posting in this section, eh? So be it. Not that I haven't had anything to write about but now I am trapped in here with the rest of you and, in spite of the amount of work required to teach online, I find myself with time on my hands.
As I am no stranger to personal disaster, it is not surprising that much of my artwork should look as if it is a cathartic response to the current threat of real and lasting harm. Waay back the the 90s, a friend offered what I consider to be an accurate assessment of my work: something bad has just happened or is just about to happen. True.
